Attracting research funding is an important aspect of any successful academic career.
This workshop is designed to support staff in with the development of their research grant proposals.
The topics covered during this session include:
* Characteristics of successful research proposals.
*Stages of the application process.
*Sources of funding.
*Funding Bodies’ rules and guidance.
*How applications are judged.
*Common pitfalls of writing research proposal.
Included in this workshop are a number of activities enabling participants to produce a short non-technical summary of their intended research proposal in line with those required by most research funding bodies.
