Title: A Career in Science, Technology & Innovation
Speaker: Prof David A.B. Miller, FRS, FRSE, Ginzton Laboratory, Stanford University
Distinguished guest speaker and Heriot-Watt University alumnus and honorary graduate, Professor David A.B. Miller, FRS, FRSE, Stanford University, reflects on his experiences of science, technology and innovation in Scotland and the United States, and considers what we might learn from Stanford’s links with Silicon Valley to foster entrepreneurial and innovative capacity and career development amongst our scientific community.
This lecture is open to all postgraduates, postdoctoral researchers and academic staff, and will be followed by a wine reception hosted by the Principal, Professor Steve Chapman.
