‘This house believes that minimum alcohol pricing is a bridge too far’ is a public debate being held at the English Speaking Union at Atholl Crescent on Friday 12 February at 7pm.
Preceding the debate there will be a keynote speech from Dr Alastair MacGilchrist, Consultant Hepatologist at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and council member of the Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh, who will be presenting his views on the motion.
Dr. Emilia Crighton, Convener of the Faculty of Public Health in Scotland, will be chairing the debate, with students from Heriot-Watt, St. Andrews and Edinburgh Universities speaking.
Staff and students are advised to arrive at 6.45pm. No registration is required prior to the event.
