Reducing Carbon Emissions of Existing, Non-Domestic Properties
Wednesday, March 10, 2010

The non-domestic building sector is responsible for almost 20% of the UK’s total carbon emissions. There is great potential within this sector to reduce these emissions through energy efficient interventions. Research is looking at the feasibility and acceptability of these interventions in existing, non-domestic buildings, and is being carried out within the Urban Energy Research Group. It is also supported by Faithful & Gould Ltd, one of the world’s largest project and cost consultancies.
This presentation by Megan Strachan will provide an overview of how industry is responding to current Government initiatives, as well as a review of the available decision support methods for refurbishment.
Venue: Postgraduate Centre, Seminar room 2.02
Start Time: 13:15
End Time: 14:15
Organisation: Urban Energy Research Group, Heriot-Watt University
