Call for science posters for exhibition at the Edinburgh College of Art

ASCUS, formerly the Art Collective, is hosting a launch event at the Edinburgh College of Art celebrating its new name and website. The event is deigned to bring scientists and artists together to network and develop future collaborations.

An important part of this event will be the exhibition of your science posters. The posters will not only form the spatial structure of the event, but more importantly, we hope that they will catalyse discussion, serve as public outreach opportunities for scientists, and provide sources of inspiration for artists.

We are looking for contributions of your science posters, whether new or made for a previous conference

Launch event:

Monday 29 March 2010, 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Sculpture Court, Main Building, Edinburgh College of Art.

Posters will be available for public viewing in the Sculpture Court:

Saturday 27 March and Sunday 28 March, 9:00 am -2:00 pm and Monday 29 March, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Details for submitting a poster can be found below but whether or not you submit a poster, it will be great to see you at the Edinburgh College of Art on Monday 29 March at the Launch Event!

POSTER SUBMISSION OPTIONS

Hand deliver or mail your posters to James Howie (Crew Building, King’s Buildings, University of Edinburgh, West Mains Road, EH9 3JN)

Please ensure you submit your posters by 5pm, Friday 26 March.

Alternatively bring your posters to the Edinburgh College of Art Sculpture Court between 09:00 – 12:00 on Saturday 27 March.

ASCUS will transport your posters to and from the Edinburgh College of Art and will install and de-install them. Posters can be collected after 9pm on the day of the Launch, or returned by mail.

Please email general@ascus.org.uk if you intend to submit a poster, stating your name, poster title, chosen method of submission and chosen method of collection.
