Heriot-Watt University Chaplaincy Annual Lecture

‘Gunning for God: Why the New Atheists are Missing the Target’. It will be given by Professor John Lennox, Professor of Mathematics at Oxford University and Fellow in the History and Philosophy of Science at Green Templeton College. There will be a drinks reception afterwards, from 7.45pm.

John Lennox is Professor of Mathematics at the University of Oxford, and Fellow in Mathematics and the Philosophy of Science at Green Templeton College. He has lectured extensively in universities around the world, and has also debated many of the ‘new atheists’ such as Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens. He is the author of God’s Undertaker (2007) and God and Stephen Hawking (2010).

Staff, students and members of the public are welcome.
