This one day workshop is designed for anyone with responsibility for managing Heriot-Watt projects. Most suitable for staff with limited or no experience in managing projects.
Workshop Objectives:
To provide project managers with some basic tools and techniques for managing projects. By the end of the session you will:
1. Understand the basic concepts of project management and the project life cycle
2. Understand the various roles and responsibilities within project management
3. Be aware of skills required of a project manager and own strengths and training needs
4. Know what tools/techniques are available, why and how to use them – and when, how and where to seek further support
The workshop will be participative, with a mixture of delivery, group work, discussion and humour.
