Introduction to Presenting Research - 3 part course

This course is specifically designed for research students who have recently started or are preparing to start presenting their research to different audiences. It is expected that participants will attend ALL THREE of these sessions so please check that you can attend all dates.

1) Conference Talks - Wednesday 8 February 2012, 13.15-16.15:
This session provides an introduction to giving talks at conferences with a particular focus on how to deal with the question and discussion session.

2) Research Posters - Monday 27 February 2012, 13.15-16.15:
This session provides An introduction on how to present your research clearly and concisely on a poster for a conference or seminar presentation

3) PowerPoint for Postgraduates - Thursday 15 March or Tuesday 27 March:
This session provides an introduction on how to use Power Point effectively to create computerbased presentations or overhead slides. It is assumed that participants will have a basic knowledge of Windows.
