Appointment of new Chaplain

The University is pleased to announce the appointment of the Rev. Dr. Alistair Donald as the new Chaplain to Heriot-Watt University. Alistair will join the University on 23 February 2009.

For the past ten years Alistair has been a Parish Minister in Aberdeenshire. Prior to becoming a Minister, Alistair worked as an environmental scientist in Welsh Water and later on as an Environmental Scientist (Senior Civil Engineer) in the Scottish Office Environment Department. He studied Geography at St Andrews University, gained a doctorate in Environmental Science from the University of Wales, and a divinity degree in New Testament from Edinburgh University.

Alistair is married to Nicky and they have three sons.
