Establishment of Office of Vice-Principal (Malaysia) and Appointment of New Deputy Principal (Learning and Teaching)

The Senate has agreed to recommend to the Court that the office of Vice-Principal (Malaysia) be established and that Professor Bob Craik, Deputy Principal (Learning and Teaching) be appointed to that office for the period to July 2017. The office holder will act with the delegated authority of the Principal to manage the affairs of the Malaysia Campus and will be responsible for the operation of the Campus.

The Principal has announced that he is appointing Professor John Sawkins, currently one of the Deans of the University, as Deputy Principal (Learning and Teaching), taking over from Professor Craik.

An election to replace Professor Sawkins as Dean will be announced in the near future.
