Dr Roland Burkhard

It is with immense sadness that we report the sudden death of Dr Roland Burkhard on Monday 6 February. Although he had been ill for some time, nevertheless his death was unexpected. Our thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends.

Dr Burkhard was a lecturer in Geographic Information Systems in the School of the Built Environment. A Book of Condolence is in the Student Office of the Edwin Chadwick Building for staff and students to sign. From Monday lunchtime (13 February) this will be moved to the Chaplaincy Centre and will remain there until Wednesday lunchtime (16 February).

Funeral arrangements and details of a memorial service for Dr Burkhard will be communicated once details are known.
